We identify trends for key “vital signs” such as repeat purchase rates for new versus existing customers, average 12-month dollars per customer and orders-per-customer, the percentage of buyers who are one-time buyers versus two-time buyers, and the growth in the lapsed customer file versus the growth of the active buyer file. We also look at indicators that help drive strategy and marketing investment such as lifetime value by source, order channel, season of first purchase, product category, and promotion.
